A sense of autumn

I guess I’m about two seasons out of sync with today’s post, focussing on autumn when we are supposed to be looking forward to spring.  But when I was hunting through my photos for an image to share today, this one jumped out.

For me, it captures the essence of an autumn walk on a fresh, crisp morning.  The jagged spikes of the decaying flower head, a hint of clear blue sky, and the colours of autumn starting to develop in the background.
