Looking down the arcade

Burlington Arcade, just off Piccadilly, is one of my favourite shopping spaces in London.  I say that, though I should perhaps stress that it’s “window shopping” as my budget generally doesn’t stretch to any of the items on sale!  Nonetheless, it is fun to peer in at the stunning window displays, and to watch the comings and goings of the real shoppers who are actually there to do business.

The plunging perspective of the arcade and the light flooding in through the glass roof somehow draw you towards them, calling to you to go and explore the delights within….
